Some camping clubs and
private companies offer group tours, special events and caravans in
which RVs travel together through an attractive region, usually with
professional "wagonmasters." Some caravans travel for a
month or more, providing the trip of a lifetime.
There's strength in
numbers. When RVers band together to travel to such distance
destinations as Alaska, Canada or Mexico, they like having an
experienced "wagonmaster" who knows the area, makes
arrangements for nightly camping and finds mechanical help or spare
parts in a pinch.
